One night around the campfire, just Nick, myself and our dog Jaxy, we found ourselves talking about life—where we were, and where we really wanted to be. We realised we were drifting into a version of life that didn’t feel like ours. We’ve always been strong-willed, adventurous people, and deep down, we knew we wanted more freedom, more nature, and more meaning in our everyday lives.The truth hit us: we weren’t getting any younger, and “normal” was never part of the plan. We were happiest outdoors, surrounded by nature, not tied down by routines that didn’t excite us.
